Parents of students in 6, 7 and 8th grade are invited...

Tuesday, March 10 at 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. there will be a Town Hall meeting on Vaping and Social Media. Nikki Whaley, WESD Baord member, will open the event. Dorothy Watkins, district lead social worker will be facilitating with guest speakers from Touchstone Behavioral and Common Sense Media. The event will be at Desert Foothills Jr High School cafeteria with the doors opening at 5:15 for the 5:30-7 event. A light dinner will be available.

Both of these topics, vaping and social media, are a concern for this age group of children. Information and knowledge are needed to best support our children. The flyer for this event is posted on Peach Jar (bottom left corner of our website).  We hope to see some of our parents take advantage of the information to be shared at this event.
